About Us
Samsøn creates and presents programs that explore the diversity of cultures and voices that continually shape contemporary art and ideas today, introducing emerging and under-recognized artists as well as re-contextualizing established artists.
It is our mission to act as an interdisciplinary laboratory for the convergence of film, video, performance, music, design and visual art.
null/empty Set; there is no solution to the question or argument; not zero and not infinite. A condition: there is no question or argument that can support an answer. For every element of ∅ the property holds (vacuous truth); There is no element of ∅ for which the property holds.
We work with a group of artists dedicated to furthering contemporary art: Nicole Cherubini, Craig Drennen, Jeffrey Gibson, Steve Locke, Gabriel Martinez, Rune Olsen, Matthew Rich, Suzannah Sinclair, Davis, Cherubini, Todd Pavlisko & Summer Wheat.
Samsøn is a member of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA).

Submissions
Samsøn is not actively looking for additional artists to represent or exhibit. However, we do review documents continuously and sometimes opportunities arise. Submissions may be for work in any medium.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Please send no more than 20 images or 5 minutes of video on a CD or DVD. DO NOT send images via email, or ask us to view your website. Never send original artworks.
2. All images should be labeled with your name, title, date, medium and dimensions.
3. For the return of your work, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. samsøn is not responsible for returning works submitted without a SASE. DO NOT give a return package over will weigh over one pound (1 lb) upon return.
4. A brief statement and/or bibliography are optional.
5. The submission of one catalogue is also optional.
KINDLY REVIEW ADDITIONAL NOTES BELOW. Most documents are returned within three weeks with a brief note. Comments you receive are merely an opinion. The submissions reviewed by Samsøn are not done so in the presence of the artist and not during business hours. Submitted images are viewed on a computer. Please do not submit more than once a year, unless specifically requested to do so.
It is best if works from several years are included in your submission. The review allows the gallery the opportunity to become familiar with your work. Please do not expect an exhibition offer or a studio visit as a result of the initial viewing. Following an artist’s work over a three or four year period prior to a studio visit is common.
The weight of the filled return envelope must be less than one pound because postal regulations require packets over one pound to be presented in person at the post office, and we will not do that. Return packets weighing more than one pound will either be thrown away or only a portion will be returned. We do not accept packages accompanied with international postage exchange vouchers, as that requires samsøn to present the return mailing to the post office in person.
We try to be democratic about this process, so please do not request exceptions.
Thank you.
